Account Manager (Rest of World)

As an Account Manager at Tellent, you’ll play a critical role in growing revenue across our international (RoW) customer base. Your mission: unlock expansion opportunities, increase Net Revenue Retention (NRR), and help customers get the most value out of our HR tech suite.

You’ll own a portfolio of customers and be responsible for driving upsell, cross-sell, and renewal motions. From pricing discussions to strategic growth conversations, you’ll confidently lead commercial engagements while keeping the customer’s success at the center. You’ll also partner closely with Marketing, RevOps, Customer Experience, and Product to identify opportunities and contribute to broader expansion strategies.

This role will be pivotal in building and accelerating the expansion efforts in the RoW market, an entrepreneurial mindset and self-steering capability is essential. You will drive revenue by identifying upsell opportunities and encouraging clients to adopt higher-tier plans or additional Tellent HR products. Ideally, you have experience in the SaaS or HR tech industries, though this is not a strict requirement. But we expect you to confidently navigate pricing discussions and identify opportunities for revenue growth while keeping a customer first mindset.

You will work together closely with your teamlead and other internal stakeholders to improve expansion strategies while fostering collaboration with the wider Customer Experience team to ensure customer satisfaction, retention and anti-churn campaigns.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead retention efforts by proactively managing at-risk accounts, running anti-churn playbooks, and driving renewal negotiations with upsell potential.

  • Run win-back campaigns to re-engage churned or inactive customers, turning lost opportunities into long-term relationships.

  • Ensure smooth customer migrations by coordinating transitions that maintain trust, adoption, and platform value.

  • Identify expansion opportunities within your customer base by promoting relevant add-ons (e.g., WhatsApp Hiring) and cross-selling solutions like Grow - always with a retention-first mindset.

  • Collaborate with the broader CX team to share insights, improve customer journeys, and strengthen satisfaction across the RoW segment.

Your 12-Month Journey as an Account Manager

First 3 Months
You will focus on learning the Tellent offering, from products and processes to pricing models and customer needs. During onboarding, you will complete training in commercial strategies, shadow customer interactions, and begin supporting in commercial processes. By the end of this period, you will have a strong foundation in our systems, tools, and the necessary account management practices.

After 6 Months
At six months, you will be independently managing your pipeline, driving upsells, cross-sells, and renewals. You’ll confidently navigate customer interactions, uncover new opportunities, and ensure customer satisfaction by delivering value and fostering trust.

After 12 Months
By the end of your first year, you will be a key contributor to Tellent’s growth, with a proven track record in revenue generation. Equipped with deep product knowledge and market insights, you will be ready to explore advanced responsibilities and personal development opportunities.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Manage and grow existing accounts by building strong relationships, identifying upsell and cross-sell opportunities, and ensuring long-term customer retention.

  • Identify and capitalize on commercial opportunities through inbound leads and proactive outreach.

  • Drive lead generation by creating and executing inbound and outbound campaigns in collaboration with Marketing, RevOps, and CX.

  • Oversee your sales pipeline, track progress toward targets, and provide accurate forecasts to support growth objectives.

  • Lead anti-churn campaigns and support win-back efforts on at-risk customers within the RoW base.

  • Participate in customer migration projects, ensuring smooth transitions and continued value delivery.

  • Work closely with the Product team, sharing customer feedback to contribute to product innovation and improvement.

What You Will Bring to the Team:

  • 2-4 years of professional experience – in account management, sales or business development or a related role.

  • Previous experience in HRTech or selling ATS solutions is a strong advantage.

  • A commercial mindset with a customer-first approach – You have a strong ability to identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities while always prioritizing customer needs, ensuring both business growth and long-term client satisfaction.

  • Proactive and entrepreneurial spirit – You thrive in a fast-paced environment, taking ownership of your customers and actively seeking ways to accelerate Tellent’s expansion in the RoW market.

  • Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills – You are confident in handling pricing discussions, renewal negotiations, and value-based selling to drive revenue growth while maintaining strong client relationships.

  • Fluent in English. Nice to have one of these languages: Dutch / French / German.

  • Experience in selling a suite or multi-product offering is a plus.
