Job description

As a Solution Engineer at Tellent, you’ll partner with Strategic Account Executives to help customers understand how the Tellent Suite solves complex hiring, HR, and performance challenges.

You’ll lead technical discovery, deliver tailored demos, and guide customers through technical validation by translating business needs into scalable solutions. Acting as a trusted advisor throughout the sales cycle, you’ll support integration discussions, proof-of-value engagements, and technical decision-making.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys combining technical expertise, consultative problem-solving, and customer interaction in a fast-paced SaaS environment.

About the Team

The Solution Engineering team works closely with Sales, Customer Success, Product, and Marketing to support strategic opportunities across the Tellent Suite.

We’re collaborative, curious, and focused on delivering strong customer experiences through technical expertise, tailored demos, and scalable enablement.

Your journey at Tellent

First 3 months

You’ll immerse yourself in the Tellent Suite and other add-ons, our personas, and our sales methodology. By the end of this period, you will:

  • Acquire deep knowledge of the Tellent product offering and sales methodology to lead standard demos and support technical discovery.

  • Familiarize yourself with technical validation workflows, including RFPs, security reviews, and integration requirements.

After 6 months

You’ll become a key driver of the strategic sales cycle, moving from supporting roles to leading technical engagements. By this stage, you will:

  • Independently lead the technical sales cycle for strategic deals, from discovery to demo to trial management.

  • Translate complex business needs into scalable technical solutions while proactively mitigating deal risks and blockers.

After 1 year

You’ll be recognized as a subject matter expert who not only closes deals but elevates the entire team’s technical caliber. A year in, you will:

  • Elevate team performance by developing global demo playbooks and leading technical training for Sales and CS.

  • Act as a strategic bridge between the market and the Product team, synthesizing customer feedback into structured insights for our roadmap.

  • Handle our most high-stakes, multi-stakeholder opportunities, acting as a trusted advisor to C-level technical stakeholders.

What you’ll be doing

  • Partner with Strategic Account Executives on qualified opportunities

  • Lead discovery conversations focused on workflows, integrations, systems, and technical requirements

  • Design and deliver tailored product demonstrations aligned with customer needs and business goals

  • Translate customer use cases into scalable solution designs using the Tellent Suite

  • Support RFPs, RFIs, security reviews, and technical validation processes

  • Build and maintain reliable demo and proof-of-value environments

  • Support pilots and trials with clear success criteria

  • Handle technical objections and explain complex concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

  • Collaborate with Product, Marketing, and Customer Success to share customer feedback and market insights

  • Enable Sales teams with technical messaging, demo support, and objection handling

  • Continuously improve demo storytelling, technical positioning, and internal enablement

What you’ll bring to the team

  • Experience in Solution Engineering, Sales Engineering, Solutions Consulting, or a similar customer-facing SaaS role

  • Strong discovery, communication, and consultative problem-solving skills

  • Experience delivering tailored demos connected to business outcomes

  • Understanding of integrations, APIs, and technical validation processes

  • Confidence handling technical questions and customer discussions during complex sales cycles

  • A collaborative, proactive, and ownership-driven mindset

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English & Dutch

  • Experience in HR tech or talent software is a plus
