Your Mission:

The Head of Marketing DACH is in charge of owning and developing the Marketing strategy for the DACH region. In collaboration with the GM and the other regional functional leaders, they are responsible for building the most efficient regional operating model, which supports effective multi-channel campaigns, aimed at achieving our regional targets. Managing 1 FTE, the Marketing Campaign Manager, as well as with dotted lines towards the other region-specific Marketing stakeholders, the Head of Marketing DACH also participates in the production of campaign-specific content required to execute their strategy (From presentations used for webinars, to advertorials published in regional outlets, to written content used for paid social campaigns). They foster a collaborative environment, and represent the Marketing interest within the local market. They are ultimately responsible for the marketing performance in the region.

About the team:

The Marketing team at Tellent consists of over 20 professionals, distributed across our primary regions: DACH, France, and the Benelux. You'll manage one direct report and have a dotted lines to the rest of the DACH marketing team. Our mission is to empower HR teams and leaders to unlock the full potential of their talent. Your 12-month journey:

The first 3 months will be about getting to know our Tellent suite, understanding our internal processes, as well as getting a solid understanding of the current market situation in DACH. You’ll meet with all relevant stakeholders, both on the Marketing and DACH-region side. You will take part in the regional strategy sessions, and play an active role in shaping the tactics for the rest of the year.


Within 6 months:You’ll be fully empowered to start shaping things the way you see fit. You’ll take full ownership of the performance of the region, and will be able to hold peer to peer conversations with the Sales, Customer Success, and Partnership leaders. You’ll own your own set of resources, and will have a large array of decision-making power, while receiving the support of the rest of the team including the VP of Marketing.


After 1 year: You’ll be considered as the go-to person when it comes to Marketing for Tellent in the DACH region. You’ll fully own the yearly strategy, budget, and will be able to exchange across a large set of stakeholders, regional and beyond, to compliment your overall understanding of the direction the business is taking, and how you can support.


What you’ll be doing:

  • You’ll lead the creation of the Marketing strategy for DACH

  • You’ll create campaigns as well as content, relevant to execute on the defined strategy

  • You’ll participate in defining the KPIs and output you believe the regional marketing team should be measured on

  • You’ll work on establishing solid relationships and communication avenues with the other regional stakeholders

  • You’ll manage a direct report, with dotted lines to the rest of the regional marketing team (5 people in total)

Job requirements

What you’ll bring to the team:

  • 7 years of related marketing experience, ideally in field/regional marketing

  • 2 years experience in leadership or management roles

  • Native or Bilingual level German language skills

  • Proven success in driving qualified demand for the company’s products/services

  • Deep understanding of the DACH market, and how to execute the most efficient strategy for the region

  • Commercially driven and ambitious to prove the ROI of marketing campaigns

  • Experience in partnering with commercial teams (Sales and Partnerships)

  • Metric driven with the ability to draw insight from complex marketing data
