Legal Counsel – Benelux

About the Role

As Legal Counsel, you'll help our Sales and Partnerships teams close deals, build strategic partnerships and launch new commercial initiatives with confidence. We're looking for someone who combines strong legal judgment with commercial awareness, enjoys negotiating, and thrives in a fast-paced SaaS environment where pragmatic advice makes a real impact.

Your 12-Month Journey

• During the first 3 months: You'll get to know Tellent's products, commercial contracting approach and internal stakeholders. You'll start leading day-to-day customer contract negotiations, support partnership agreements and integrations, and become a trusted legal partner for Sales and Partnerships.

• Within 6 months: You'll independently own a broad portfolio of commercial negotiations across the Benelux, advise on strategic partnership and integration agreements, and help improve our contract templates and legal processes.

• After 1 year: You'll be the go-to commercial legal partner for Sales, Partnerships and Customer Success, driving complex negotiations, identifying pragmatic solutions, and helping scale the legal function through process improvements and knowledge sharing.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Commercial Contracting: Lead negotiations of SaaS agreements, DPAs and other commercial contracts with customers across the Benelux.

• Partnerships & Integrations: Draft, review and negotiate partnership, reseller, referral, technology and integration agreements while supporting new commercial initiatives.

• Business Partnering: Work closely with Sales, Partnerships and Customer Success to provide practical, risk-based legal advice that enables the business to move quickly.

• Contract Optimisation: Improve templates, playbooks and negotiation processes to help the commercial teams become more efficient and self-sufficient.

• Collaboration: You'll work daily with Sales, Partnerships, Customer Success, Security and the wider Legal team.

What You Bring

• Commercial Contracting Experience: Experience negotiating SaaS and other commercial technology agreements under Dutch law, preferably gained in-house or at a leading law firm with a strong commercial practice.

• Partnership Experience: Experience drafting and negotiating partnership, reseller, integration or technology agreements.

• Business Mindset: You understand commercial priorities and know how to balance legal risk with business objectives in a pragmatic way.

• Hands-on Approach: You enjoy taking ownership, working independently and solving problems without unnecessary complexity.

• Strong Communication Skills: You build trust with stakeholders and can explain legal concepts in a clear, practical way.

• Languages: Professional fluency in both Dutch and English is required.
