Business Systems Analyst

As a Business Systems Architect at Tellent, your mission is to translate complex business challenges into robust technical solutions. Joining the DataOps team and partnering closely with RevOps, GTM, G&A, and Product teams, you will design and oversee the technical backbone of our go-to-market stack that powers the full customer lifecycle and drives sustainable growth and operational excellence.

This role requires a combination of strategic vision, understanding of how all parts of a SaaS business operate, and hands-on execution. 

Responsibilities:

• Own and evolve the business systems data architecture across our go-to-market stack, ensuring data accuracy, reliability, and scalability across multiple CRMs and core SaaS tools.

• Act as the technical owner of almost all parts of the end-to-end customer lifecycle, from website lead capture through sales, onboarding, billing, and renewal — ensuring all systems and handoffs work seamlessly.

• Design, build, and maintain integrations and automations using APIs, webhooks, and middleware platforms (Zapier, Make, Workato, n8n), including monitoring, troubleshooting, and documentation.

• Serve as the senior technical partner to RevOps, GTM, and G&A teams, translating business requirements into system designs, implementation plans, and production-ready solutions.

• Partner with RevOps, Finance, and Legal to support and optimize CPQ, billing, and subscription management workflows, including renewals, amendments, upgrades, and revenue accuracy.

• Drive system governance and data quality standards, including field definitions, lifecycle stages, permissions, naming conventions, and integration best practices.

• Identify architectural gaps and technical debt, proactively proposing improvements and supporting the Head of DataOps in shaping the business systems roadmap.

• Create and maintain clear system documentation, runbooks, and training materials to enable scalable operations across the organization.

• Act as the go-to expert when things break: investigate root causes, resolve complex data and sync issues, and continuously improve system reliability.

Who you are:

• 6+ years of experience in business systems, RevOps, or GTM systems roles in a B2B SaaS environment.

• Deep hands-on experience with CRM technical setup and administration (HubSpot or Salesforce is a strong must; experience with both is a big plus).

• Proven experience designing and operating business systems data architecture across multiple tools.

• Strong knowledge of APIs, HTTP requests, webhooks, and middleware tools such as Zapier, Make, Workato, or n8n.

• Experience with CPQ, billing and/or subscription management systems.

• Background in Business Operations / Revenue Operations / Systems ownership.

• Hands-on and strategic: you enjoy building flows and debugging syncs, but you also care deeply about long-term architecture and scalability.

• You can translate business needs into technical solutions. You work pragmatically, balancing best practices and business outcomes, while maintaining high data standards and data governance. 

Nice to have:

• Relevant certifications (e.g. Salesforce / HubSpot Admin, project management, systems architecture).

• Experience with multi-CRM environments.

• Experience working closely with Finance and Legal on revenue recognition, billing, renewals, and contract management.

• Experience or interest in optimizing processes with AI agents or other LLM tools
