Job description

As a Senior Financial Controller, you are responsible for overseeing financial operations, ensuring compliance and driving efficiency across entities and departments. With more than 5 years of experience in financial management, reporting, payroll and strategic planning, you bring strong analytical skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving. About the team

You will be part of a Finance team dedicated to ensuring financial accuracy, transparency and efficiency. The team’s mission is to provide reliable reporting, maintain compliance and support strategic decision-making across the business. Collaborating closely with colleagues in Finance, Leadership and cross-functional teams, you’ll play a central role in shaping financial operations and driving sustainable growth.


What you will be doing

  • Prepare and deliver accurate financial reports and analysis.

  • Lead MoM and YoY and variance analysis.

  • Manage payroll processes, ensuring accuracy, compliance and timely execution.

  • Oversee internal controls and ensure regulatory compliance.

  • Manage month-end and year-end closing processes.

  • Support audits and coordinate tax planning.

  • Monitor cash flow and cost control initiatives.

  • Provide financial insights to support business decisions.

  • Drive process improvements within ERP systems (NetSuite, Payhawk, Chargebee, Cobase).


What you’ll bring to the team

  • 5 + years of experience in financial management and reporting, with hands-on responsibility for reconciling payroll administration with the GL.

  • Strong knowledge of internal controls, (text) compliance, and accounting standards and NL GAAP .

  • Proven ability to manage budgeting, forecasting, payroll, and cash flow processes.

  • Advanced analytical skills with a strategic mindset.

  • Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite ( must), Payhawk, Chargebee and Cobase.

  • A proactive, self-starting and problem-solving approach and ability to work independently.

  • Integrity, reliability and a high level of professionalism.

  • Fluent in English.

  • Hybrid working from our Amsterdam HQ.
